Google has announced its first foldable phone, which is called the Pixel Fold and is part of the Pixel series. The Pixel Fold features a vertically foldable screen, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold models.
The Pixel Fold’s screen is a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels. When folded, the device reveals a 5.5-inch screen. Additionally, the Pixel Fold has 5G support on both sides of the device.
The device’s design shows the influence of the new design language we saw in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. The Pixel Fold has a triple camera setup on the front and a camera module on the back.
The Pixel Fold’s features include a Snapdragon 888 processor, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, a 5000 mAh battery, and the Android 12 operating system.
Google has not yet made an official announcement regarding the price and release date of the Pixel Fold, but it is expected to have a similar price tag to other foldable phones.
