Ubisoft’s highly anticipated game, Far Cry 6, seemed to be exclusively available for purchase on the Epic Games Store and Uplay, but recent announcements indicate that the game will also be available on the Steam store.

Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7, 2021, on all platforms, meaning that players will be able to purchase it on Steam as well. Previously, Ubisoft had only made their games available for sale on their own platform, Uplay, and the Epic Games Store for the past few years.

In a previous announcement, Ubisoft stated that pre-orders made on the Epic Games Store and Uplay would come with additional content, such as exclusive weapons and vehicles. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether players will also be able to receive this additional content when purchasing the game on Steam.

Far Cry 6 is a first-person shooter game set on an island resembling real-world Cuba, where players join the fight for freedom alongside the Yara people against the rule of dictator Anton Castillo. Players can expect a game filled with improved gameplay, new weapons, and vehicles, among other features.

Ubisoft’s decision to make Far Cry 6 available for purchase on Steam is great news for players. For those who wish to purchase the game on Steam, pre-order options are available until the game’s release date.
